It takes everything that made the U3000 a benchmark product and adds 3-channel recording capability, Super Night Vision 4.0, and a dual radar parking mode system that fundamentally changes how parking surveillance works. 4K UHD Front and 2K QHD Rear

The U3000 Pro shoots 4K 2160p UHD at 30fps on the front and 2K 1440p QHD on the rear, both powered by Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 image sensors. The front lens covers 147 degrees and the rear covers 156 degrees — wide enough to capture adjacent lanes and full intersection coverage with minimal blind spots. Drop the front to 2K and the frame rate steps up to 60fps for smoother, sharper slow-motion review of fast-moving incidents.

Bitrate is selectable at 24Mbps (standard) or 30Mbps (high) — the higher option delivers noticeably better detail retention in fast-moving or complex scenes.

Super Night Vision 4.0

Super Night Vision 4.0 is Thinkware's most capable low-light processing to date. It takes advantage of the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor's high sensitivity and low noise performance, then applies Thinkware's image signal processing on top — delivering footage in poorly lit streets, underground car parks, and dark driveways that is genuinely clear and usable. This is the feature most often cited when customers switch to Thinkware from another brand.

Dual Radar Parking Mode — The Big Upgrade

Standard dash cam parking modes use the camera itself to detect motion, which means they trigger on lights, shadows, passing headlights, and anything else that creates movement in the image. The U3000 Pro replaces this with built-in dual radar sensors — front and rear — that detect physical movement around the vehicle independent of the camera.

The practical result: dramatically fewer false triggers, longer buffered parking surveillance, and better detection of low-movement threats like someone slowly approaching your parked vehicle. When radar detects motion or impact, the camera saves a 20-second clip (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the event) — giving you the complete picture including whatever happened before the trigger fired.

Parking mode options on the U3000 Pro include:

3-Channel Recording

The U3000 Pro supports a third channel via the optional infrared in-cabin camera (model U3KPIR, sold separately). This adds full cabin visibility — clear footage of passengers and in-cabin activity, even in complete darkness — making it the ideal choice for rideshare drivers, couriers, taxis, and parents. Note: the LTE modem and in-cabin camera cannot be used simultaneously.

Video Enhancement Technology

The U3000 Pro applies a full stack of video processing to every recording:

• Dual HDR — front and rear cameras both apply High Dynamic Range processing, balancing exposure across bright and dark areas simultaneously so detail isn't lost in glare, shadows, or sudden lighting changes like tunnel exits
• Nighttime Picture Correction — brightness, colour, and noise cancellation applied to low-light footage
• Intelligent Automatic Exposure — handles sudden light changes from oncoming headlights or direct sunlight without blowing out the image
• Dewarping Technology — corrects wide-angle lens distortion so footage looks natural and distances are easier to judge

With the optional LTE modem (model LTEMOD, sold separately), the U3000 Pro connects to Thinkware Connected for full remote access:

Built-in GPS enables Thinkware's Australian safety camera alert database — audible and visual warnings for fixed speed cameras, red light cameras, average speed zones, and mobile speed camera zones. The database covers Australian roads specifically and receives regular updates.

ADAS features include Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) at highway speeds, Urban Forward Collision Warning (uFCWS) in city traffic under 30km/h, and Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW) at intersections and in stop-start traffic.

Build Quality and Heat Protection

The U3000 Pro uses a supercapacitor power system no internal lithium battery which handles Australian dashboard temperatures reliably where battery-based cameras degrade or fail.
